First Call?
First time answering call from customer is definitely an experience that is so hard to forget. I think I will remember it for the rest of my life.
Well actually, it's not that terrible.. it just the feeling.. it feel awkward you know. The first time going live.. I need to understand that no matter what ever happen, no matter what kind of customer that I need to face to.. I need to solve it by myself.
There is no such thing that I can just simply escalate any call that I don't feel like I want to entertain.
By hook or by crook I have to make sure everything must be alright even though that you are not alright at all. There is a mix in the feeling.. the nervousness..
But it just normal I guess..

Introduction and welcome to contact center guy's blog
Hello and greeting. Welcome to my blog. This is my first entry that I write in this blog.
Well.. basically this blog is about me, about my career path and about my working experience in the contact centre industry. When I was a kid, I never even thinks that I am going to work in a call center environment. In fact I don't even know what is actually a call center.
Until One day, I met a friend of my brother, he said that he works in a call center.
Then I am start to ask him.. what is a call center? What did people in call center do? How is it the work environment? Was it fun? What kind of people that work in a call center? What are the culture? And off course.. how about the salary?
So many things that I ask to him, but off course I didn't get the answer in an instant.
Well, to cut it short, he only says that not all people can stand the culture and able to work in call center. There is a lot of pressure, stress, tension and if not being handled properly will leads to resignation.
Now, I was given a chance to experience every bit of thing that he went through. (Oh my god! He is not lying)
I do understand now, what are the feeling of working in a call center environment.
Well of course, there is a day when everything was fine, all the customer is in a good behavior, but off course there is also some day that all the customer is terrible. (I mean some, but when you receive a terrible call from an angry customer, you might feel like all customer's call is sucks)
Uh huh.. when u work in the call center, you don't get a chance to choose which customer, or what kind of customer that you want to serve. In fact, you don't even got a chance to see their face.
Sincerely, working in a call center is fun. There is a lot of things that you can learn It's not just about the product or the services that the company that you representing, but a lot more things that can be learned. I will tell yo more about this in later entry okay.
To be agree to read this blog, means that you are agree to share my experience and my expertise in this field. Well I don't consider my self as perfect, but I am constantly learning to make sure that every contact is handled properly and produce an excellent result.
Oh yeah.. I need to warn you as well, read at your own risk. Some might find it boring and some might find it funny..
After all we are talking about human, there is so many things that can be said about human.. Okay okay I think it should be enough for the starting point of the entry. No need to prolong it right?
Last but not least, welcome to my blog and welcome to the call center.
This is my blog, and this is my original and first hand experience..
